Student Engagement for Racial Justice (SERJ)

The SERJ team directly supports and serves communities of color who have been historically marginalized in higher education. SERJ is charged with raising awareness and visibility of racial and ethnic identity through educational programs, cultural celebration and ceremonies, and promoting equitable practices in the university setting.

    • Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Black and African Diasporic Hispanic/Latino/a/x
    • Native American and Indigenous (NAI)
    • Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) student communities

Coalition Building and Diversity Education (CBDE)

Through collective and collaborative work with campus and community partners, Coalition Building and Diversity Education will support, build and enhance the understanding of interpersonal identities to respond to systemic inequities, through engagement, advocacy, and education. CBDE is a catalyst for change by creating, promoting, and sustaining an inclusive and equitable campus community.

LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning+) Resources Center

The LGBTQ+ Resources Center cultivates the success and well-being of queer, trans, non-binary, and questioning students, staff, and faculty. The office's work is deeply collaborative and rooted in intersectional justice. The LGBTQ+ Center builds identity-affirming programs, develops leaders, provides critical resources, and fosters a culture of equity and allyship at Mason.

Women and Gender Studies

The Women and Gender Studies Program provides a physical and intellectual space for exploring social inequalities, grounded in the concepts of gender, sexuality, race and class, across interdisciplinary lines in sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, and policy.

Office of International Programs and Services (OIPS)

Assist international students and offers social and cultural programming throughout the fall and spring semesters. OIPS also provides guidance to students and scholars studying and working at George Mason University in immigration, employment, taxation, and helps with adjustment issues.
